Priscilla Carvalho is the founder and principal designer of Priscilla Couture, a Philadelphia-based couture atelier known for bespoke bridal gowns, couture garments, and refined alterations. With more than 20 years of experience and over 5,000 custom pieces created, her work is defined by precise craftsmanship, sculptural silhouettes, and an instinctive ability to translate personal stories into garments.
Born in Goiânia, Brazil, and raised in a family of Italian artists, Carvalho was immersed in creativity from an early age. After moving to the United States in 2002, she opened her first atelier in 2005, quickly establishing a reputation for intuitive tailoring and a modern approach to couture.
Today, Priscilla Couture serves clients across the United States and internationally through both in-person and remote couture consultations. The brand has presented collections in Philadelphia and New York, including appearances during New York Fashion Week. Priscilla Couture is part of the CFDA’s Bridal Fashion Calendar, reflecting the brand’s growing presence within the American fashion landscape. Her work has also appeared on the cover of Philadelphia Bridal Magazine. In 2025, Carvalho was nominated for the Rising Star Award by Fashion Group International, recognizing emerging leaders shaping the future of fashion.
Carvalho is also the founder of Alter My Dress, a couture atelier specializing in the transformation and refinement of ready-made garments through couture-level alterations and redesign.
She is the co-founder and creative force behind TKINK, a conceptual designer wear label exploring identity, fluidity, and the digital mindset of contemporary culture through sculptural silhouettes, experimental textiles, and expressive design.
Committed to responsible craftsmanship, Carvalho integrates zero-waste techniques, mindful production practices, and digital prototyping methods that allow custom fit and garment structure to be refined before production begins. In 2025, she completed her residency as Designer-in-Residence at the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator, further developing her vision of bridging traditional couture craftsmanship with emerging technologies.
Through her work, Carvalho continues to redefine how couture can evolve, honoring traditional craftsmanship while embracing the tools and ideas shaping the future of fashion.
