Mary Gehlhar is an educator and consultant on the topics of fashion entrepreneurship and sustainability. She is the author of The Fashion Designer Survival Guide, the best-selling book which guides designers through the many aspects of starting and growing their own fashion brand.
Mary served for 10 years as Fashion Director of Gen Art supporting hundreds of emerging designers nationwide through fashion week debuts and retail partnerships. She led the selection process for the first four seasons of Bravo’s Project Runway. Mary served as adjunct faculty at the Parsons New School of Design and is a frequent speaker and jury member at fashion schools and industry events including the Luxury Law Summit. She is a Fellow with Nest’s Makers United and an Advisory Committee Member for the United Nations Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network.
