Ruthie Davis is more than a footwear designer—she’s a visionary creating a lifestyle of empowerment, innovation, and style. A CFDA member and AAFA’s “Designer of the Year,” she blends architectural artistry with modern, sporty elegance. Based in NYC, Davis holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and designs with a purpose: to elevate women.
After graduating Cum Laude from Loomis Chaffee, she earned a BA in English and Visual Arts from Bowdoin College and an MBA from Babson’s Olin Graduate School of Business, where she was inducted into the “Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.” Before launching RUTHIE DAVIS in 2006, she held executive roles at Reebok, UGG Australia, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Known for groundbreaking collaborations, Davis partnered with Disney on collections for Aladdin, Frozen 2, and Mulan, earning the AAFA’s 2019 “Collaboration of the Year” award. She has also worked with Universal Illumination, Swarovski, HSN, and more. Her Ruthie Davis X BGCSM initiative educated Detroit youth in shoe design, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club.
Davis’ designs are a go-to for A-listers like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, and world-class athletes like Lindsey Vonn. A recognized leader, she has been named one of Footwear News’ “20 Directional Design Stars,” a Vogue Italia “Vogue Talent,” and one of Goldman Sachs’ “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs.”
Beyond her brand, Davis is a sought-after fashion expert featured on Bravo, E!, CNBC, Fox News, and more. She serves on multiple advisory boards, lectures at MIT and NYU, and has taught footwear design at FIT and the University of Delaware. Passionate about mentorship, she inspires future designers with her mantra: Find your passion, work hard, and live your dreams.
